Amazon accumulated a total of 163/9 in 20 overs after batting first. Praveen PJ (29) looked good at the top. However, the top order soon collapsed as they were reduced to 49/3 in the eight over. But Sujit (25) and Sajjan (26) then stitched a crucial 53- run partnership in the middle. This partnership brought the innings back on track. Furthermore, Navin Parry played an unbeaten cameo of 45 from just 21 balls towards the end. His quick-fire knock was laced with 4 fours and 3 sixes.
The Northern Trust bowlers did a decent job with Reni being their best bet on the day. Reni returned with figures of 4/34. He was also well supported by Osama (3/25) and Naveen (2/15).
The Amazon bowlers proved to be too good for the Northern Trust batsmen on the occasion. Northern Trust lost its top order quickly and therefore left reeling at 17/3. Things got worse for them furthermore as the Amazon bowlers showed no mercy. They kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals. As a result, Northern Trust was eventually bundled out for 116.
