Bengaluru FC announce a partnership with Scottish outfit Rangers FC

Bengaluru FC, the Indian Super League champion, has signed a partnership agreement with the Scottish giants, the Rangers Football Club, in a two-year partnership (with the option of expanding the mutual agreement) that will provide a variety of football and business opportunities for both clubs.

Rangers FC is a club of rich history established 147 years ago way back in 1872, the home for Scottish giants is Ibrox Stadium, Rangers FC has won the league title 54 times, the Scottish Cup 33 times and the Scottish League Cup 27 times. They also have the distinction of being the first British club to reach the final of the UEFA tournament when they confronted Fiorentina in the 1961 European Cup Winners ‘ Cup. The club is presently managed by England and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

This partnership will allow Rangers Academy will travel to India and will be welcomed at Bengaluru’s state of art training centre. Rangers Soccer Schools will also be holding training camps in Bengaluru and will be bringing tour groups to Glasgow to see how to play and train the Rangers way. 

During the period of this tie-up, the Glasgow side looks to enhance the Indian football market which can enable the club’s growth in the international scene. The partnership will also include a scouting connection with the Indian Super League outfit to identify India’s promising talent with a perspective to opening up opportunities.

This partnership is a chance for both the Bengaluru FC and the Rangers FC, both of which have so much to gain from it. Be it the history of a legendary club or to impress the Indian market that can attract a billion people. Rangers FC managed by the great Steven Gerrard who has a great number of fans in India will be keen to see what this partnership can bring to Indian football.
