Batting first, Cerner could muster only 102 runs on the board. Their openers Aswin(1) and Amar Singh Verma(13) failed to provide them with a strong start. It was that kind of a day where none of the Cerner batsmen got going. Nithin Shyam(18) and Manohar(17) were the only significant contributors to a below part total. With no batsmen contributing much, Cerner’s innings fell apart due to which they failed to put up a respectable score on the board.
The Dell EMC bowlers bowled well in tandem to restrict Cerner. Dheeraj Nayyar(2/7), Santosh(2/16) and Moses John(2/25) all picked up a couple of wickets each. They kept picking wickets at regular intervals that put pressure on Cerner’s batsmen. This kept them on the backfoot throughout the innings.
It was a light task for the Dell EMC batsmen to chase down this target. Dheeraj Nayyar top scored with 49 off 41 balls. His knock consisted of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Santosh (37) also played a significant knock that had 4 fours and a six as they easily wrapped up the chase.
They eventually overhauled the target (108/4) in 16.1 overs, therefore winning the game with 6 wickets to spare.
