LA Galaxy superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has jokingly admitted that he is still good enough to play in the Premier League and could return to Manchester United if the club recalled him.
The Red Devils suffered their first defeat in the Premier League this season last weekend when Crystal Palace left Old Trafford with all three points. Manchester United have four points from their opening three games and are still looking quite disjointed despite a few new additions at the club.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has allowed two of his big-name forwards in the form of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave the club as he prepares to engrave his philosophy into the club.
Following the departure of the two forwards, a former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic stated that he could play for the Red Devils if they called him back. The 37-year-old Swede spent two seasons at Old Trafford and scored goals on a regular basis until suffering a crucial injury that cut short his career.
In 53 appearances for United, Zlatan scored 29 goals during 2016 till 2018 but he is currently at LA Galaxy and couldn’t resist taking a sly dig at his former club. While speaking to reporters the big striker cheekily told Sky Sports, “I could play easily in the Premier League, so if United need me, I’m here. But Galaxy has me, so I’m sorry. Nah, I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it, I have 33 trophies that I brought with me here and hopefully, I can get something here. And then we will see where that adventure finishes.
