The VIVO IPL 2020 player auction is set to take place on 19th December in Kolkata. Teams have already come out with the list of released and retained players.
As per updates, on 30th November, the Player Registration closed. Subsequently, a total of 971 players are signed up to go under the hammer in the IPL auction. That is to say, these include 713 Indian players as well as 258 overseas players.
Most importantly, the released and retained lists are out. Firstly, 73 spots are up for grabs. 215 capped players and 754 uncapped players are the contenders. Morever, 2 players from the Associate Nations are also in the list.

The franchises are subsequently expected to submit their shortlist players. Futhermore, these players will make up the final VIVO IPL 2020 Player Auction list. Consequently, the deadline for the same is Monday, 9th December 5:00 PM IST.
