The Delhi based franchise will look to start the season with the same blast as last year, With Ricky Ponting who can guide the team to greater heights and with hardworking support staff and coaches they will be ready for new season.

Auction strategy will be simple for them as they have strong base team and new additions of Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin have made them a even better squad for the year. Now talking about auction strategy.

Striking Opener’s Hunt:

DC has got strong Indian batting line-up which consists of Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant.
Now they need an opener who can come along Shikhar Dhawan and play big hits.
The choices they have are Chris Lynn, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Shimron Hetmyer and Evin Lewis who can contribute a lot and keep the score card ticking.

Pace Bowling Concerns :

So, they can work on Pacers by adding Andrew Tye , Sam Curran, Nathan Coulter Nile because A
foreign pacer who can spearhead the attack along with Rabada is need for DC.
If they are in search of another Indian Pacer then they have options as  Ishan Porel, Jaydev Unadkat or Mohit Sharma who will be amongst Indian Favourites.
