Two games at the helm Freddie Ljunberg is not looking like someone who would change arsenal’s fortunes. The stadium filled up after freddie promising the fans during a press comference a week ago that the smile will come back on their faces during a home game and this was one but still arsenal looked like a team with no direction nor motive.

Emery’s sacking brought a breath of hope to almost all arsenal fans, but so far it hasnt yielded anything as far as results are concerned. The only thing that has changed since the introduction of new management is part the starting line up and formation of play used but everything is just “same old arsenal”

Brighton came into yesterday’s game as underdogs having lost their last four away games and were without a win in six on their travels but they deservedly dominated registering 20 shots compared to arsenal’s 12

Yesterday’s win will go into the book of records since It was the Seagulls’ first ever win at Arsenal and it was one they thoroughly deserved.

The gunners defence looks like a problem than a solution, the centre was the visitor’s favorite area of play and the attack which boasts lots of talent was wastefull yesterday. Mesut ozil showed exactly why Unai Emery was excluding him from his matchday line ups here and again, his lack of energy and hunger really costed the gunners. Young Willock was below average and was deservedly replaced just after half time. The introduction of Pepe really improved things and will surely leave question as to “what if he started?”

Publicly Arsenal said they will not be rushed into appointing a permanent successor for Emery. “It’s about finding the right candidate, not the first candidate,” said Josh Kroenke. But they must have now been reconsidering their stand just as they did by sacking soon after backing him up publicly. ARSENAL needs a strong established coach to steer the squad in a right direction and give it life

Arsenal, who sit 10th in the Premier League table and are 10 points adrift of the top four, will return to action on Monday when they take in a London derby date with West Ham.
