Rafa Benitez open to Premier League return.

Rafa Benitez and his never ending love for the Premier League.

Former Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has hinted that he would like to return to England.

The Spaniard is currently in China, working as the manager of Dalian Yifang, having left Newcastle in the summer.

English Soil:

However, his family remain in England and Benitez has told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast that, a return to English soil might be on the cards.

I am happy here. It is not I want to go back right now, it is I would like to go in the future.” Dalian are ninth in the 16 team Chinese Super League with only three games left in the 2019 season.

Benitez managed Liverpool from 2004 to 2010, helping them to win the 2005 Champions League. He led Chelsea to the Europa League in a caretaker spell in 2013.

In his recent stint at England, he managed Newcastle from 2016 until this summer, guiding them to the Championship title in 2017.

He left St James’ Park at the end of his contract in June, saying they did not share his vision for the future, before becoming Dalian Yifang manager days later.

Plenty of Offers:

There would be lots of suitors for the Spaniard once he makes up his mind for the return. Arsenal are looking for a new manager after growing frustrated with Emery. Also, fellow North London rivals Tottenham will also keep an eye out. However, West Ham United who are clearly struggling under Manuel Pellegrini, might tempt Rafa for a position in London.

Next season summer transfer window is certainly going to be very busy. Not just with the players, but also with the managers!

Premier action resumes on Saturday with Tottenham travelling to face West Ham United. On the other hand, with lieu of the international break, it’s a Women’s Football Weekend today evening. Check out our preview here with Streaming Links for all the games.
