What’s Going Wrong For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United?

Manchester United are currently not going through a good patch of time. After the defeat against Arsenal, the Red Devils again failed to win against Wolves in the FA Cup 3rd round match. Now, they will have to play with a rematch at Old Trafford to qualify for the next round. In this congested set of fixtures, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer certainly did not wish to play another match. So, it is very much obvious that something is going wrong at Manchester United. Here we will talk about three reasons of Manchester United’s bad patch.

1.  Injury Of Crucial Players :

Manchester United are currently missing the service of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba as both of them are injured. On the other hand, Anthony Martial was also absent from the squad of the Red Devils against Wolves because of an injury. So, it is getting more difficult for the Red Devils at this moment.

2. Inconsistency Of The Forwards :

Marcus Rashford has been in good form for Manchester United in this season. However, the other attackers are certainly not showing enough consistency. Daniel James and Jesse Lingard’s form have dipped quite a bit. Mason Greenwood has not been given enough chances in the meantime. Anthony Martial has been good only in patches. So, lack of a good supporting attacker along with Marcus Rashford.

3. Nemanja Matic Should Retire :

Nemanja Matic has been given the chance as Paul Pogba is unavailable. However, his awful performance let his team down in last two matches. The club management of Manchester United should think of selling the Serbian midfielder as soon as possible. It has been a mistake of the Red Devils not to bring in any replacement of Ander Herrera in the summer transfer window. However, they should go for one central midfielder in this January to strengthen their squad.
